Sometimes you get an email that just makes your day.
Here is a totally unsolicited testimonial we just received from Dave S a 40 year old recreational golfer. We have just passed this onto both Stuart Appleby and his coach, Steve Bann since we know they love to get feedback on the Leaderboard and how it is being used by everyday golfers as opposed to the Tour players. The message has been included totally intact since Dave was kind enough to provide permission for us to use it.
Name : Dave S (full name and contact details supplied)
Country : USA
Feedback on Leaderboard :
I just want to share my positive feedback on what the Leaderboard has done for my golf swing. I`ve had the LB for about a year and a half. While I would use it occasionally, I really did not commit to using it regularly until this summer (2008).
I`m an avid 40 year old recreational golfer and serious about becoming the best golfer I can be. Over the years I have purchased far too many swing training aids than I would care to admit. While many of them have helped me a bit here and there, none have had anywhere near as profound an impact on my golf swing than the Leaderboard.
I have struggled for years with getting into the proper set up and posture and then maintaining good balance throughout my swing. I`ve struggled with all of the classic swing faults outlined in the LB DVD. After using the LB a lot this summer, I discovered that the key to my swing is learning how to properly use my lower body to stabilize my core and torso, resulting in far better balance. The end result has been a much more efficient swing, more clubhead speed, better rhythm/timing, much improved impact conditions, maintaining my spine angle throughout the swing, and greater accuracy.
By using the LB, it teaches my body kinesthetically how to get myself into a balanced set up position and then how to properly shift my weight and pivot properly on the backswing and downswing. I don`t have to think. Instead, I just let my body react instinctively to what the LB is encouraging my body to do in making the proper swing. After taking several swings on the Leaderboard, I can step off and duplicate the same mechanics on grass. What a marvelous sensation to feel what is like to deliver the clubhead to the golf ball with speed and power while being under control in terms of my overall balance!!! It feels almost effortless compared to how hard I felt myself working to swing the club in the past.
Again, the KEY has been learning how to use my lower body, specifically, my glute muscles to create a solid base from which I can use my torso correctly during the swing. Since I am a very analytical person and can easily get caught up in overanalyzing what is going wrong with my swing, using the LB has really helped me turn that part of my brain off and just allow the LB to engrain the proper muscle memory.
The funny thing is that it only takes me about a handful of practice swings on the LB to recapture this motor pattern if I get a little off track. While I have done several of the drills outlined on the LB DVD, I find that I can usually just do the standard drill with the fixed skate in front and the movable skate to the rear.
I must also say that the DVD with Stuart Appleby and Steve Bann is great and I learned a lot not only on how to use the LB properly to build a solid swing, but Steve`s explanations on why the various swing faults occur was also very informative.
I know I have probably rambled on here, but my sincere thanks to both Stuart and Steve for bringing this fantastic training device to the market! It has been a GODSEND to me in preventing me from giving up the game of golf out of sheer frustration with the lack of results from all of my other attempts to improve my swing (lessons, training aids, new equipment, etc.). Please feel free to use all or part of my message here under your testimonials or other advertising material.

Many thanks Dave for the feedback. Here is a response from Stuart which he has asked us to pass onto you.
Hi Dave.
Congratulations on “getting on the Leaderboard” It was nice to read your comments and new found enthusiasm for the game.
It takes and it gives and it sounds like she’s giving back in the form of a new swing. Enjoy the Leaderboard, but more importantly enjoy the learning curve your on with your golf.
Best wishes with your game.
Cheers Stuart Appleby
Dave, thanks again for sending us your feedback on the Leaderboard.

Our star Leaderboard golfer, Adam Scott snaked in a 46-foot putt on the third playoff hole to win the Byron Nelson title in Irving today. Adam hit the fairway bunker with his tee shot but then made the green with his approach. A birdie finish clinched the Championship as Ryan Moore just missed his birdie attempt.
Congratulations to Adam and welcome back to the PGA Tour winners circle.

Nick Flanagan blasted his way onto the PGA Tour on Sunday with a final round 63 at the Xerox Classic. Nick trains regularly with the LeaderBoard under the watchful eye of Coach, Steve Bann.
This win earns Nick a “Battlefield Promotion” to the PGA Tour.
With seven PGA tournaments left in the 2007 Season, Nick will get an opportunity to compete for some big checks between now and Christmas.
Of course, he will then have plenty of time to further hone his skills on the LeaderBoard in preparation for the 2008 Season.

When KJ Choi blasted out of the sand and straight into the hole at Seventeen, it was clear that there was no stopping our Korean LeaderBoard champion from notching up his second tour victory in five weeks.
Just like he did at the Memorial, KJ held firm to take out the tournament and score another win for the ever growing band of PGA Tour players who train on the LeaderBoard Golf Trainer.
At Memorial, it was Jack Nicklaus who presented KJ with his trophy. At Congressional he would shake the hand of Tiger Woods who was the host for The AT&T National - this is all becoming a habit for KJ.
And, of course we also had a tie for third with our own Stuart Appleby joining Jim Furyk and Pat Perez on 3 Under. One shot further back we had Robert Allenby in a tie for sixth with Tiger Woods.
